my first attempt.....

Shortly after Christmas I received a call from my cousin. She had a friend from work who is getting married and wanted a few pictures of her and her soon-to-be husband for their wedding. She mentioned to the girl that I had recently gotten a new camera and might be interested. I told her that I'd love the chance to try it and so, my first attempt at a real photo session was born.

We met up on Saturday and right away they were both really nice. I had been so nervous all day that at one point I really thought I might throw up. But I didn't. And after a rocky start, we all sort of got into the swing of things. Here are some of my faves....

bathtime rituals....

During her bath, Charleigh loves to line as many of her toys up along the edge of the bathtub as possible. We are almost out of space to fit them. Then, if you're lucky, on some nights, when her bath is over she will pick them up one by one, hug them, and tell them by name, "I'll miss you (fill in name here)".......
